What Happens When 5 TV Hosts Spend 2 Weeks On a Bus?

By Chris Ariens

Move over CNN Election Express, The Five Road Trip is coming to town.

Eric Bolling, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Juan Williams will board a specially-branded bus and head to Cleveland, site of the Republican National Convention, and then Philadelphia, home of the Democratic National Convention next month. The bus departs New York, Friday July 15, bound for Cleveland for the RNC which begins July 18. Later that week the team will head to Philadelphia for the DNC starting July 25.

Along the way the hosts will make stops and interview newsmakers. The road trip is also meant as a celebration for the 5th anniversary of the show, which was created by FNC chief Roger Ailes and debuted July 11, 2011.

The Five has been number one in its timeslot (formerly occupied by Glenn Beck) since launch, and has grown 66 percent in total viewers and 10 percent in the A25-54 demo.

CNN’s Election Express, which hit the road in the 2008 and 2012 elections, was retired last year, and replaced by the Campaign Camper.
