  • NBC News has named Jacob Rascon correspondent. “Jacob has demonstrated his tremendous gift for creative and compelling storytelling,” said NBC News President Deborah Turness. Rascon comes from KNBC in Los Angeles.

  • For the first week of the 2014-2015 season, ABC’s “Nightline” won its timeslot in total viewers, drawing 1,780,000 viewers, besting #2 “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” by 271,000 viewers. Year-over-year, the program was up +13% in viewers and up +2% in the A25-54 demo.

  • At 5amET tomorrow morning, Fox Business will air “Hong Kong, Protest for Democracy.” Lori Rothman will anchor with live reports from Hong Kong, Beijing, and London focusing on how Hong Kong’s protests for democratic elections will impact global markets.
