  • The Committee to Protect Journalists today announced that Fusion’s Jorge Ramos will be honored with the Burton Benjamin Memorial Award for lifetime achievement in the cause of press freedom at the 2014 International Press Freedom Awards in November.

  • “The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson” celebrated one year on the air today with a best-of video. Carlson says the best part of leaving the morning shift for the afternoons is, “I no longer have to set three alarms for the middle of the night and I am home in the morning with my kids.”

  • Brian Williams was among hundreds paying respects to WCBS reporter John Slattery who died of a heart attack last week. Williams worked with Slattery at WCBS in the late 1980s. Slattery’s funeral was held this morning in Larchmont, NY.
