Yes, Comedy Central’s faux news program “The Daily Show” will be making its quadrennial trip to the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

In Tampa next week, the program is calling its coverage “RNC 2012: The Road To Jeb Bush 2016,” and will tape from the Straz Center. Among the segments on tap: correspondent Aasif Mandvi giving viewers an inside look at his home city, and a “Mitt Romney biographical film.”

“The Daily Show” will also be at the DNC in Charlotte, though details were not yet available.

The correspondents will have floor access at both conventions, and the show will be bringing more than 100 staffers to both cities. Rather than run Monday-Thursday as it usually does, the show will run Tuesday-Friday.
