“Rick Kaplan might have done well to avoid the drive time guest shot for Tucker Carlson to prime up his new show on Don Imus this morning,” an e-mailer says. “In two words, train wreck.”
Carlson appeared around 7:30am. The new MSNBC host made a comment about former Imus newsreader Contessa Brewer and the Imus Ranch in New Mexico, and the I-Man wasn’t pleased.
Imus dismissed and hung up on Carlson. He complained that he put Carlson on at the request of Rick Kaplan. Imus called Carlson a “stupid little bastard.”
