That Time Katie Couric Went as Donald Trump for Today Show’s Halloween

In case the 2016 election hasn’t filled you with enough fear, Halloween is on Monday!

NBC’s Today will turn its attention away from a ghoulish election cycle, and throw its 22nd Halloween celebration in the plaza on Monday. The morning show has celebrated Halloween almost every year since 1994, with the notable exceptions being 2001 due to September 11th, and 2012 due to Hurricane Sandy.

What costumes can we expect to see the anchors in this year? Based on Halloweens of recent past, there will likely be some gender swapping. Al Roker went as Oprah Winfrey, and Katie Couric as Donald Trump in 2004. Tamron Hall channeled her inner President Obama in 2010. However, Matt Lauer might be the king of drag, as far as Today anchors go. He went as J. Lo in 2000, Paris Hilton in 2004, and Pamela Anderson’s Baywatch character C.J. in 2013. Today will unveil who’s who for Halloween 2016 on Monday.
