Tense HLN Segment Leads Guest to File Police Report

A guest on HLN’s Dr Drew on Call has filed a report with the Los Angeles Police, accusing another guest of battery. Ben Shapiro, senior editor-at-large at Breitbart News, was part of a discussion of Caitlyn Jenner on the HLN show Friday.

On air, Shapiro clashed with Zoey Tur, a correspondent for Inside Edition who has been billed as the country’s first transgender reporter. Tur, who previously worked as a Los Angeles news helicopter pilot as Bob Tur, is also the father of NBC News correspondent Katy Tur.

In the HLN segment, Shapiro referred to Tur as a man, leading Tur to put a hand on Shapiro’s neck and say “You cut that out now, or you’ll go home in an ambulance.”

Shapiro told Breitbart News Tur threatened him after the HLN segment, saying “I’ll see you in the parking lot,” and that security escorted Shapiro to his car.
