Suspension Over, It’s Back to Work for ESPN’s Britt McHenry

By Mark Joyella

Having served her one-week suspension for verbally berating a towing company employee, ESPN reporter Britt McHenry will be back on TV this weekend.

Sports Illustrated reports McHenry will be assigned to sports coverage starting this weekend. ESPN senior coordinating producer Seth Markman tells SI McHenry will be very busy in the weeks to come, including next Thursday’s NFL draft. That said, there’s no illusion at the sports network that McHenry’s going to have a smooth return to reporting:

“Listen, it wouldn’t shock me if some people react negatively,” Markman said. “My head hasn’t been buried in the sand. I’ve read a lot on this, and more than anything, she knows she made a mistake. She’s owned up to it. I think she is just really anxious to get back to work.
