Super Tuesday of General Election Proportions

Matea Gold writes today in the Los Angeles Times about the extensive news coverage, across various platforms, in place for Super Tuesday.

With the broadcast networks taking various amounts of prime time hours for coverage and the cable networks going from dawn to early Wednesday morning with live coverage, the TV time for Super Tuesday results will be huge.

“A voracious appetite for political news has prompted the broadcast television networks and their cable counterparts to gear up for extensive coverage of Super Tuesday, offering programming more typical of a presidential general election than a February primary day” Gold writes.

“We’re going at Super Tuesday the way we normally go at election night,” CBS’ Bob Schieffer told Gold.
