Meet the Press experienced a festive Easter, at least from a ratings perspective. The program averaged almost 3.8 million total viewers and over 1.1 million adults 25-54, #1 overall. The program was up +31 percent in total viewers and +17 percent in adults 25-54 from the March 29 2015 edition.
ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos had a nice Easter as well, moving up to second in the news demo and finishing only slightly behind Face the Nation in total viewers. This Week delivered 3.4 million total viewers (+31 percent year-over-year) and 997,000 adults 25-54 (+22 percent year-over-year).
Face the Nation fell to second in total viewers and third in adults 25-54, hauling in almost 3.5 million total viewers (+6.5 percent year-over-year) and 894,000 adults 25-54 (+8 percent year-over-year).
Fox News Sunday on Fox Broadcast delivered 1,639,000 in total viewers (+22 percent year-over-year) and 554,000 in A25-54 (+32 percent year-over-year). The replays, which aired at 2PM/ET, 6PM/ET, 12AM/ET and 2AM/ET, brought in a combined 3.0 million total viewers and 740,000 adults 25-54.
Altogether, Fox News Sunday delivered close to 4.7 million total viewers and 1.3 million adults 25-54 on March 27. The program delivered 4.3 million total viewers and 1 million adults 25-54 on March 20. This is a +10 percent gain week-to-week in total viewership. It’s notable that Shannon Bream hosted the Easter Sunday edition.
The youngest-skewing of the Sunday public affairs programs, the Jorge Ramos-hosted Al Punto hauled in 317,000 adults 25-54 and 723,000 total viewers on Easter Sunday. The 317,000 adults 25-54 figure is a +31 percent improvement from the comparable Sunday in 2015. The 723,000 total viewers is a +14 percent improvement from the comparable Sunday in 2015.
