CBS’s “Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer” was No.1 in total viewers and the A25-54 demo among the Sunday public affairs shows on Sunday, Oct. 12.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” was down the most: -19% in viewers and down -30% in the demo vs. the same Sunday last year which was the midst of the government shutdown.
ABC’s “This Week” was slightly down in total viewers but up +8% in the demo while “Face the Nation” was up +9% in total viewers and +13% in the demo.
Univision’s “Al Punto” was up the most, +27% in the A25-54 demo compared to last year.
Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,969,000 total viewers and 275,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 53% of the country.
