Each of the programs posted double digits declines, both in total viewers and among the A25-54 demo, versus the comparable Sunday in 2016, which, to be fair, was the Sunday after Election Day 2016.
CBS’s Face the Nation with John Dickerson moved back into the driver’s seat as the most-watched of the Sunday show on Nov. 19th, whereas ABC’s This Week With George Stephanopoulos scored its first No. 1 ranking of the season among adults 25-54.
NBC’s Meet the Press took third place in the demo, and second in total viewers on Nov. 19. Andrea Mitchell filled in for Chuck Todd.
Fox News Sunday hosted by Chris Wallace remained No. 4 in all relevant measurements. The program’s cable replay delivered 2.33 million in total viewers and 491,000 A25-54. Combined with the original Fox broadcast, the Nov. 19 edition of FNS delivered 3.65 million in total viewers and 921,000 A25-54.

Face the Nation was the most-watched Sunday show for the November 2017 sweeps period, while Meet the Press held strong as the most-watched Sunday show among younger news viewers, including adults 25-54.
CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox were all up in total viewers versus the July 2017 sweeps period, but also all down versus May 2017 sweeps in total viewers. This Week managed to improve upon its May 2017 sweeps delivery in the A25-54 demo (848,000 vs. 800,000).
And all of the Sunday shows were down versus their respective November 2016 sweeps performance, undoubtedly for presidential election-related reasons.
Face the Nation managed to post total viewer growth from the Nov. 2015 sweeps period (+3 percent). The other shows were down from their November 2015 sweeps performances.
