Sunday Show Ratings: Nov. 4

By A.J. Katz

TV’s longest running show continues to own one of Sunday TV’s longest running winning streaks.

On Nov. 4, NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd ranked No. 1 among adults 25-54. It has now finished No. 1 in the demo for 40 straight broadcasts, which is the show’s best streak in more than 18 years.

The program also ranked No. 1 in total viewers and all other relevant categories for the third consecutive week.

With a midterms election on the horizon, MTP held steady in total viewers, but was -9 percent in A25-54 demo viewers vs. the comparable Sunday in 2017 (which was the show’s 70th anniversary episode).

CBS’ Face the Nation finished in second place across the board this past week, but posted year-over-year audience losses of -12 percent in total viewer and -8 percent among adults 25-54.

ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos ranked No. 3 across the board. The program was -21 percent in total viewers, and -28 percent among adults 25-54.

The Nov. 4 broadcast of This Week was preempted in America’s largest market due to coverage of the TCS New York City Marathon. But this was also the case on the same Sunday last year.

Fox News Sunday hosted by Chris Wallace posted +9 percent total viewer growth and +11 percent A25-54 demo growth vs. last year on Fox Broadcast.

The cable replays delivered 2.65 million total viewers and 486,000 demo viewers. Altogether, 4.19 million viewers and 955,000 demo viewers watched FNS on Nov. 4.
