CBS’ Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer was the top-rated Sunday public affairs program in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo on May 3. Face the Nation won the week with coverage of the earthquake in Nepal, the protests in Baltimore and an interview with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI).

ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos was second in both categories, but its total viewer lead over MTP was by only 3K, essentially making it a tie. NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd finished third in the demo.
Face the Nation was up +3% in total viewers and up +9%the demo, compared to the same week last year. Meet the Press finished up big in both categories, gaining +12 in viewers and +35% in the demo, while This Week was down slightly in both measurable.
Fox News Sunday was up +29% in viewers and up +22% in the demo, while combining with cable replays for 3 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 1.78 million total viewers and 473K in the demo.
Face the Nation is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 76.3% of the country.
