As usual NBC’s “Meet the Press” was the top rated Sunday public affairs show in both totals viewers and adults 25-54 on the Memorial Day weekend edition of the program May 29. “MTP” was down compared to the prior week, but up compared to the same week last year. CBS’ “Face the Nation” placed second in total viewers, but a close third in the demo. ABC’s “This Week” was second in the demo and third in total viewers.
CBS was down in both categories compared to last week and the same week last year, while ABC’s show was down was able to grow its demo numbers from the same week in 2010.
Cable replays of FOX News Sunday averaged a combined 1,733,000 total viewers and 356,000 A25-54 viewers. “MTP” added 1,286,000 viewers with rebroadcasts – 512,000 on NBC and 774,000 on MSNBC.
