CBS’ “Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer” was the the top-rated public affairs program on March 1 in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo. “Face the Nation” was up +16% in the demo and up +11% in viewers, compared to the same week last year.
NBC’s “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” averaged the program’s biggest total viewer audience in over a year, finishing second in both categories. “MTP” finished up +7% in viewers and up +16% among the key A25-54 demo. ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” finished third in both categories, down -14% in viewers and down -25% in the demo. “This Week” won both categories the same week last year.
“Fox News Sunday” was slightly down in viewers but up +7% in the demo, while combining with cable replays for 3.7 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 2.44 million total viewers and 459K in the demo.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 75% of the country.
