Meet the Press was prempted this past Sunday for the French Open Final, giving the other Sunday public affairs shows a chance to take over the No. 1 spot in the ratings race for a week.
CBS’ Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan, as it did last year, took advantage and was the No. 1 Sunday show on June 9, beating ABC and Fox both in total viewers among adults 25-54.
Fox News Sunday guest hosted by Bret Baier delivered 1.15 million total viewers and 298,000 A25-54 demo viewers on the Fox network. The replays delivered a combined 2.13 million total viewers and 366,000 A25-54 viewers. Altogether, that’s roughly 3.28 million total viewers and 664,000 demo viewers.
When compared to the same Sunday in 2018, CBS was -15% in total viewers, ABC was -16%, and Fox was -25%. In the A25-54 demo, CBS was -13%, ABC was -25%, and Fox was -31% vs. the comparable Sunday last year.
*Face the Nation’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 84.37% of CBS affiliates.
