NBC’s “Meet the Press” regained the top spot among Sunday public affairs shows last week. The program led its competition in both total viewers and the key demo of adults 25-54. CBS’ “Face the Nation” was second in total viewers and third in the demo, while ABC’s “This Week” was second in the demo, and third in total viewers.
“Fox News Sunday” was in fourth place in total viewers, but fifth place in the demo, while Univision’s “Al Punto” was fourth in the demo, and fifth in total viewers.
Compared to the same week last year, CBS and Fox were down in both total and demo viewers, NBC was up in total viewers and down in the demo, while Univision and ABC were up across the board.
Cable news replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2.63M total viewers and 602,000 A25-54 viewers..
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour airs in just 65% of the country.
