CBS’ Face the Nation with John Dickerson was the top-rated Sunday public affairs program in total viewers on July 12. However, in what is becoming a weekly theme, ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos won the key A25-54 demo for the seventh consecutive Sunday. This Week is in the midst of its longest demo winning streak in more than 20 years, dating back to October 1994.
NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd once again finished third in viewers and second in the demo, while FTN ranked third in the demo despite winning total viewers. Fox News Sunday combined with cable replays for 3 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 1.8 million total viewers and 283,000 in the demo.
Face the Nation is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 76.3% of the country.
