Among the Sunday public affairs shows, NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd won the week and the February 2018 sweep.
Compared to the same Sunday last year Meet the Press drew exactly the same number of viewers and grew, less than a half a percent, in the A25-54 demo. This was MTP’s third straight monthly win, and second straight sweeps win.
CBS’s Face the Nation with new moderator Margaret Brennan came in second in viewers and third in the demo, behind ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos moderating. Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace came in fourth. CBS, ABC and Fox were all down single digits year-over-year. This was the second year in a row that This week beat Face the Nation during the February sweep in the demo.
Reairs of Fox News Sunday on Fox News Channel drew 2,247,000 total viewers and 537,000 demo viewers; while an additional 703,000 total viewers and 151,000 demo viewers watched Meet the Press on MSNBC.
