NBC’s Meet the Press with Chuck Todd marked its third straight week as the No. 1 Sunday public affairs show.
Compared to the comparable day last year the big four broadcast shows lost viewers. It should be noted on this same Sunday last year, White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller made the Sunday show rounds which led to several days’ worth of headlines.
Meet the Press was down -3 percent, CBS’s Face the Nation, hosted by Major Garrett, was down -5 percent, ABC’s This Week was down -10 percent and Fox News Sunday was down -6 percent. Only the Chris Wallace-hosted show saw growth among younger viewers, up +1 percent.
Repeats of Fox News Sunday on Fox News Channel delivered 2,347,000 total viewers and 506,000 demo viewers. Repeats of Meet the Press on MSNBC added 407,000 total viewers and 91,000 demo viewers.
Editor’s note: Face the Nation’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 64.4 percent of the CBS affiliates.
