CBS’ “Face the Nation” was the top-rated Sunday public affairs show on Dec. 14 in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo, despite being down -6% and -17% respectively compared to the same week last year.
NBC’s “Meet the Press” finished second in both categories, with very similar numbers from a year ago. ABC’s “This Week” ranks third, down -10% in viewers and down -7% in the demo.
“Fox News Sunday” didn’t have significant movement in total viewers but fell -34% in the demo, while combining with cable replays for 2.8 million viewers. Replays on FNC averaged a combined 1,551,000 total viewers and 289,000 in the demo.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 55% of the country.
