CBS’s Martha Teichner and her “CBS Sunday Morning” crew are the first U.S. TV network to be allowed on the set of “Downtown Abbey,” the British import that’s a hit with American viewers on PBS.

Teichner and crew visited Highclere Castle, the home of a real Earl in the English countryside southwest of London, where the show is shot. Teichner interviews cast members Hugh Bonneville (above), Brendan Coyle, Joanne Froggatt, Dan Stevens and Michelle Dockery.

Teichner’s inside report from the set will air tomorrow. The third season of “Downton Abbey” is already running in many parts of the world but debuts in the U.S. on January 3.
