Stone Phillips Back on Dateline

By Chris Ariens

Stone Phillips returned to NBC News recently to finish work on a Dateline investigation that’s been in the works for two years. The undercover report exposes the ease with which people can obtain a passport for international travel.

In a press release, NBC says “Stone Phillips and NBC News producers travel throughout the Western Hemisphere and reveal that, six years after 9/11, documents prized by terrorists can be bought from organized criminal networks with access to corrupt government employees.”

The hour long report airs next Friday Dec. 28 at 9pmET. Phillips left NBC in May. But he, and another former NBC anchor, John Seigenthaler, who left in April, can still be seen and heard on MSNBC documentaries.
