Stephanie Ruhle Off Weekend Today

By Chris Ariens

After co-anchoring the last 6 months on Saturday Today, Stephanie Ruhle quietly departed the NBC broadcast in late November to focus on anchoring on MSNBC. Ruhle hosts MSNBC’s 9 a.m. hour, but this week as been filing in for Craig Melvin at 10 a.m. as well. Ruhle continues as a Today show contributor.

MSNBC continues to rotate its anchors throughout the day, with more gaps to fill. Thomas Roberts‘s 2 p.m. show was canceled last week, though he remains under contract for another year; Jose Diaz Balart left his morning show over the summer to focus on Saturday Nightly News as well as his nightly newscast on Telemundo; the network also needs to find a replacement for Bloomberg’s With All Due Respect, which MSNBC re-aired at 6 p.m. Ari Melber has been anchoring most nights at 6. NBC News correspondents Katy Tur and Hallie Jackson have also been anchoring during dayside hours.
