Pres. Trump has fired up the Twitter machine after watching CNN this morning. Yes, WATCHING CNN THIS MORNING.
Trump had some thoughts on Chris Cuomo‘s interview with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) following details of Blumenthal’s meeting with Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch Wednesday during which Judge Gorsuch said he thought Pres. Trump’s attacks on the judiciary were “disheartening and demoralizing.”
Cuomo’s interview ended at 8:13 a.m. ET. At 8:19, Trump tweeted this:
Chris Cuomo, in his interview with Sen. Blumenthal, never asked him about his long-term lie about his brave "service" in Vietnam. FAKE NEWS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 9, 2017
But it was actually Cuomo’s first question to Blumenthal: “What is your response to the president of the United States who says you should not be believed because you misrepresented your military record in the past?” Blumenthal didn’t answer (people in power often don’t answer questions directly, that’s nothing new) but instead he repeated the “disheartening and demoralizing” comments from Gorsuch.
Cuomo said as much on Twitter:
sadly, potus is just wrong about the facts. it was my first point to the senator – about his having misrepresented military career. sigh https://t.co/zozIOHNvjb

One last point, despite his counselor Kellyanne Conway saying on CNN the other day, “No, I don’t think CNN is fake news,” Trump went ALL CAPS on the matter in his tweet.
