The Weather Channel topped its news channel competitors in younger viewers during the height of Saturday’s freak snowr’easter. Weather placed first in each hour from 1pmET to 6pmET averaging 195K viewers to FNC’s 149K, CNN’s 133K, MSNBC’s 122K and HLN’s 40K. Fox News still lead in Total Viewers during the hours of 1pm-6pmET: (690K vs. 486K). The numbers could have been greater into the night if more than 3 million homes hadn’t lost power.
