Simon Hobbs Leaving CNBC

By Chris Ariens

CNBC’s Simon Hobbs is leaving the NBC business channel.

“For the past 18 years, Simon has made a significant contribution to the success of the network,” writes Nik Deogun, CNBC’s senior VP and editor in chief, in a note to staff.

Hobbs currently co-anchors the 10 a.m. ET hour of Squawk on the Street from the New York Stock Exchange. He previously worked from CNBC in London where he anchored European Closing Bell and Europe Tonight. “Every day, Simon has brought energy, enthusiasm and perspective to our programming,” writes Deogun.
