Shepard Smith, Bill Hemmer Lead FNC’s Papal Visit Coverage

Shepard Smith will anchor the start of Pope Francis’s visit to the U.S. for Fox News. Later in the week, Bill Hemmer will anchor from Philadelphia for the culmination of the visit. Coverage begins on Fox News Sunday as Chris Wallace welcomes Washington, D.C. Archbishop Cardinal Donald Wuerl. Martha MacCallum will report live from Capitol Hill as Pope Francis address Congress Thursday. Hemmer picks up coverage from New York as the Pope addresses the U.N. General Assembly.

Special Coverage Airing September 20-27th from D.C., New York and Philadelphia

FOX News Channel (FNC) will present special live programming to commemorate Pope Francis’ papal visit to the United States beginning Sunday, September 20th. Throughout the week, FNC’s anchors and correspondents will be reporting live from the various Papal visit locations to provide up to date coverage of the historic events.

FNC’s Chief News Anchor Shepard Smith will headline coverage from Washington, D.C. on Wednesday September 23rd while America’s Newsroom co-anchor Martha MacCallum will report live from the Congressional rotunda on Thursday, September 24th. America’s Newsroom co-anchor Bill Hemmer will anchor coverage from New York and Philadelphia, covering the Papal visits to the United Nations and Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Hemmer, will be joined by FNC’s chief religion correspondent Lauren Green and analyst Peter Johnson Jr. to provide live coverage from Philadelphia as Pope Francis concludes his visit. Full schedule below:

• Shepard Smith Reporting – Live from D.C., 3PM/ET; Shep will provide coverage ahead of the planned mass. Notable guests include lead religion writer for The GroundTruth Project Jason Berry and Pastor at St. Thomas Moore Parish Father Marcel Taillon.
