‘Shepard Smith Reporting’ Day One Ratings

The Monday debut of “Shepard Smith Reporting,” beamed up from the new Fox News Deck, averaged 1.4 million total viewers and 250,000 A25-54 viewers. Smith’s program topped MSNBC and CNN combined in both measurements.

Compared to the same day last week, the show was up +29% in total viewers and +57% in the demo. The program was also up compared to the Q3 2013 average of the previous 3pm show “Studio B”: up +33% in total viewers and +34% in the demo.

The 3pmET hour of CNN’s “Newsroom” was second with 511,000 total viewers and 124,000 viewers in the demo, while MSNBC’s “The Cycle” had 347,000 total viewers and 84,000 A25-54 viewers. CNN and MSNBC were both up compared to the same day last week. Compared to the Q3 2013 average, CNN was down in total viewers and up in the demo, while MSNBC was flat in total viewers and up in the demo.
