Shep Remembers How Alan Colmes Came to Fox News: The ‘LTBD’

By Chris Ariens

Shepard Smith remembered Alan Colmes as “the happy man about our TV house,” about how Colmes, who died today, “was a good guy in an industry where everyone is not.”

“It wasn’t his politics at all, but his kind and gentle way that really struck me. He was friendly and unpretentious with everybody. He came to us at Fox News as a sort of lanky guy with a unique pair of glasses who would often be derided by the right as a sort-of token liberal in our mostly conservative line-up.”

Neil Cavuto also remembered Colmes on his show: “My perspective is a little bit different from others around here… ”
