Sandwiched between Disney’s Hannah Montana and Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, is Fox News Channel’s Shepard Smith. Smith’s 8pm hour last Wednesday was the 27th most-watched program on cable TV, no small feat in the vast world of cable. In fact, that hour was the only news broadcast in the top 40. Smith was also the first to break the news at 7:32pm ET.
