CBS Early Show EP Shelley Ross announced that David Shenfeld is joining the broadcast as senior producer of the 8am hour. Shenfeld will supervise the live and tape content of that hour while “contributing to the overall creative development of the broadcast.”
Shenfeld joins from NBCUniversal where he was the EP of the network’s short-lived show iVillage Live. Before that Shenfeld was EP of Good Day New York on Fox O&O WNYW. Shenfeld has also held positions at MTV networks and as co-EP of the syndicated Ricki Lake show.
Early next year The Early Show is being rolled out as a live 2-hour broadcast to affiliates. Currently affiliates are allowed to use local programming to fill much of the 8am hour.
