Shark-Red Wings Set Ratings Records in Home Markets

Red Wings fans, intrigued by the possibility their team could come back from a 3-0 deficit in games against the San Jose Sharks, tuned in with record numbers to Thursday’s Game 7 on Fox Sports Detroit, registering a 22.5 household rating / 39 share in the Detroit area, according to Nielsen Media Research. Meanwhile the game, which the Sharks won 3-2 to clinch the series, was the most-watched Sharks game ever in the San Jose/San Francisco/Oakland market, according to Comcast, with more than 180,000 households on average tuning in throughout the game.
