“The Situation Room is emblematic of where we’re taking CNN,” CNN/U.S. president Jon Klein told reporters yesterday. A couple notes about it:
> Reuters: “The studio includes several video screens where Blitzer, walking around the set, can take viewers to locations like Baghdad, New York, London, Paris and anywhere news breaks.”
> L.A. Times: “We’re not going to compromise on journalism but we’re going to take you behind the scenes and let viewers see what we’re getting when we’re getting it, especially in those critical hours where news is gelling,” Wolf Blitzer said. “I’ve been frustrated that viewers are only able to [see] a small fraction of what we are able to gather.”
