Sean McManus Calls TVNewser’s Post-Couric Speculation “Insulting”

CBS News president Sean McManus says TVNewser’s speculation about Katie Couric‘s replacement is “insulting and it’s absurd.”

Quoting the AP: “He said he wondered why other anchors with ratings troubles — ‘NBC Nightly News’ with Brian Williams has lost viewers and fallen to second place — aren’t the subject of such speculation.”

In the piece, I respond: “Maybe CBS is not thinking about who will succeed her, but everyone else is.”
