Sean Hannity Wrote Fundraising Email for Tea Party Patriots

sean-hannityThe Huffington Post has obtained a fundraising email written by Fox News host Sean Hannity on behalf of the Tea Party Patriots.

“Please make a generous contribution of $15, $25, $50, or whatever you can afford to Tea Party Patriots’ 5 Years for Freedom $1.2 million-dollar money bomb,” Hannity wrote in an email sent to supporters this morning, adding that February 27 is the tea party movement’s fifth anniversary.

On “Hannity” last night, Sean disclosed that the Tea Party Patriots are partners for his radio show.

“The Tea Party Patriots are partners on the radio show,” he said. “I consider myself a Tea Party conservative. I’m a registered conservative.”

Fox News tells us Hannity’s involvement with the Tea Party group is for his radio show, and has nothing to do with his FNC show or role with the network.

If you remember back to 2010, Hannity’s Fox show was set to broadcast from a Cincinnati Tea Party event, but was cancelled with Hannity being recalled to New York after “furious” executives found out at the last minute the Tea Party group was making money off the event without their or Hannity’s knowledge.
