On MSNBC’s Morning Joe Monday, Joe Scarborough called remarks by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “completely racist.”
Trump has repeatedly described the judge in the Trump University case as “Mexican,” though United States District Judge Gonzalo Curiel is an American born in Indiana. Scarborough said Trump’s attack hurts party leaders who have endorsed him. “Republicans. You’re endorsing this guy? Seriously?”
When panelist Mark Halperin noted that some Republicans were outraged over Trump’s comments about Judge Curiel, Scarborough said “they can’t be morally outraged this week when they knew what he was doing last week.”
