Sarah Sanders Gets Choked Up as Kid Asks Question About School Safety

By Chris Ariens

For a reason the TV news networks are still trying to figure out, a young child was called on during today’s White House press briefing. His question, about what the administration is doing to keep schools safe, got Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders choked up.

“It looked like it was going to potentially be a light-hearted moment. And he had the toughest question in the room,” said CNN’s Dana Bash following the briefing.

MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt called it “an unusual moment from a very articulate young man.”
