Sarah Palin, Out at Fox News, Comments on Trump, McCain to CNN

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who was dropped in June as a Fox News analyst, has spoken out on Donald Trump and John McCain in an email to CNN, calling both men “heroes.”

“I have the good fortune of knowing both John McCain and Donald Trump well,” Palin told CNN in an email, reported by Jake Tapper. “Sen. McCain dedicated his life to serving our country, and in my humble opinion the sacrifices made by all ethical service members are heroic — putting it all on the line to defend freedom IS heroic — and Donald Trump is a hero in another arena.”

Palin urged both men to resolve the “media driven wedge” between them, urging the Republicans to talk about the issues. “I leave politics of personal destruction to those on the Left and lazy media lapdogs who’s only take away from any debate is any salacious slip-up, as if they’ve never wanted to restate something they’ve publicly uttered.”

The contents of Palin’s email, a response to a reporter’s question, were later posted to Palin’s Facebook page.
