Sandusky Prosecutor Doesn’t Think NBC Error Will Result in Successful Appeal

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Linda Kelly told CNN’s Soledad O’Brien this morning she doesn’t think NBC’s mistaken edit of Jerry Sandusky’s interview with Bob Costas will result in a successful appeal of his conviction.

Without getting into the mistake — explained to TVNewser as having been re-wound accidentally as it aired on the “Today” show which was the version that played for the jury — Kelly says, “That was an interview that was conducted in the presence of his attorney. And we felt that it was significant and important enough to play that to the jury to see the defendant’s demeanor and to show consciousness of guilt.”
