Samantha Bee Takes Swipe at MSNBC

By Chris Ariens

In the opening segment of her show last night, Samantha Bee discussed the overwhelming positive TV news reaction to Pres. Trump’s address to the nation last week. She played a clip from one of Frank Luntz‘s focus groups on CBS in which an African American woman said she didn’t really think the speech was the true Trump, at which point Bee said:

“You know, maybe cable news should hire more black women, except not you, MSNBC, we know you’d sweep her out of the way to make room for whichever Roger Ailes’ harassment survivor pops out of your underground railroad next week,” Bee said while showing this image of Gretchen Carlson (to many groans from the audience.)

Meanwhile, Page Six reports former Today show anchors Ann Curry and Tamron Hall “were spotted hobnobbing at Polo Bar on Tuesday night with the show’s former entertainment booker Melissa Lonner.”

“People gasped when they walked in,” said a spy. Today contributor “Jill Martin rushed to their table. It looked like they were having a girls night out.”
