#s: CNN, FNC Competitive On Saturday

Cable news ratings were boosted dramatically on Saturday as Brian Nichols was captured. And depending on what hours you analyze, FNC and CNN can both claim victories in the ratings race.
Between 10am and 2pm, CNN outperformed FNC by 21%: CNN averaged 1.8 million viewers, while FNC averaged 1,495,000 and MSNBC had 720,000.

But FNC’s analysis of the ratings gives them a win. Between 11am and 5pm, FNC earned a 1.5 rating, while CNN had a 1.4. Here is all the raw data for the weekend:

Saturday, 10am to 2pm ET:

FNC: 1,495,000 P2+ / 578,000 demo

CNN: 1,814,000 P2+ / 768,000 demo

MSNBC: 720,000 P2+ / 332,000 demo

Saturday, 11am to 5pm ET:

FNC: 1.5 rating / 1,534,000 P2+

CNN: 1.4 rating / 1,494,000 P2+

Saturday, total day:

FNC: 1,063,000 / CNN: 891,000 / MSNBC: 321,000

Saturday, primetime:

FNC: 1,174,000 / CNN: 858,000 / MSNBC: 227,000

Sunday, total day:

FNC: 754,000 / CNN: 529,000 / MSNBC: 195,000

Sunday, primetime:

CNN: 1,158,000 / FNC: 1,090,000
