Rush Limbaugh “Resigns” As Head of Republican Party

On his radio show a few minutes ago, Rush Limbaugh “resigned” as head of the Republican party.

“I have been anointed to this position by members of the drive-by media, and of course, the Obama White House,” said Limbaugh. “I am resigning as the titular head of the Republican Party.”

So who did he “pass the baton” to? Gen. Colin Powell.

He then turned his attention to MSNBC, and his challenge. He played the clip of Contessa Brewer’s mention this morning as well.

> Update: Powell gets a chance to respond to Limbaugh on CBS’ “Face the Nation” this weekend, when he’s interviewed by Bob Schieffer.
