Rupert Murdoch Meets With Fox Newsers Today

By Chris Ariens

Fox News executive chairman and 21st Century Fox co-chairman Rupert Murdoch is hosting two company-wide meetings today at the network’s new Studio F.

The events, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, will reveal the plans for a new newsroom that was first announced last year. The main Fox News newsroom will move from the basement, where it’s been since launch 20 years ago, to a new 2nd floor work space.

Murdoch will also take the opportunity to rally the troops in the face of a major shift in programming, a rash of lawsuits and the first significant ratings challenge in a decade. The network still maintains the overall lead among cable news networks and last week was the most-watched basic cable channel for the 19th straight week.
