Roxana Saberi on NPR Tomorrow

By Chris Ariens

NPR News gets the first in-depth interview with Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi. Saberi, a freelance journalist who has worked for NPR, ABC, Fox News, and others, was released from an Iranian prison earlier this month. NPR host Melissa Block’s interview with Saberi will air tomorrow afternoon on All Things Considered.

Saberi was released after an Iranian appeals court reduced her 8 year prison sentence for espionage to a two-year suspended sentence. Saberi left Iran with her family on May 15, and arrived in Washington, D.C. on May 22. The 32 year old is a native of Fargo, ND and a former Miss North Dakota.

If you miss the interview on the radio, excerpts will be on NPR.org.
