It was reported back in January that Rosie Perez would leave The View after just four months, only to have the ABC daytime show’s co-hosts rush to say Perez would absolutely be sticking around. Now, she’s really leaving.
The View executive producer Bill Wolff announced via email Tuesday that Perez would leave the show at the end of next month, but may be back as a guest:

Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day.
Rosie will always be a part of “The View” family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up. We’ll plan a proper send off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show.

Last month, The View added Raven-Symoné as a co-host amid suggestions the show’s producers were considering additional changes. Last week, Variety reported both Perez and Nicolle Wallace could be dropped from the show.
