First Lady Laura Bush will travel to the Middle East at the end of this week to promote the U.S.-Middle East Partnership for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research, with ABC’s Robin Roberts along for the journey. Roberts will report for Good Morning America from the United Arab Emirates on Monday, October 22, and from Saudi Arabia the next day.
Roberts, recently diagnosed with breast cancer herself, will have a sit-down with the First Lady.
Roberts will also file reports on other topics, including a look at the city of Dubai, and issues facing women and young people in Saudi Arabia.
