By A.J. Katz

You’re going to be seeing quite a bit of Robin Roberts on ABC this week. Not only is she co-anchoring GMA, but she also has two year-end specials airing on the Alphabet in prime time.

Roberts and her ABC News on-air colleagues are taking a look back at the year’s biggest news stories in The Year: 2016, a two-hour special which airs Tuesday night from 9 – 11 p.m. ET on ABC.

As one might expect, the 2016 presidential race is front and center, along with the crisis in Syria, and Black Lives Matter movement. The team also looks at the top stories of the year in pop culture, including interviews with stars from TV and film.

Mark Cuban, prosecutor Marcia Clark, lawyer Chris Darden, best-selling author Jennifer Weiner, co-host of Entertainment Tonight Kevin Frazier, and others weigh in on the newsworthy stories of 2016.

On Wednesday, Roberts can be seen traversing the country to interview America’s top news makers, including athletes, entertainers, philanthropists and innovators of 2016 for Game Changers, a one-hour special airing Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET.

“These game changers that we spent time with all have one thing in common– they are not satisfied with the status quo.  I appreciate and admire how they are using their voices and their talent to inspire us to look at the world differently,” says Roberts, who also executive produces this particular special.

The 2016 Game Changers include Lin Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame, NBA icon LeBron James, record-setting Olympian Michael Phelps, hip-hop star Chance the Rapper, Flint, Michigan water crisis whistle blower Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, and model/body activist Ashley Graham. Viewers will encounter other “Game Changers” during the episode.
