- On Monday night Fox news host Bill O’Reilly played himself on the mid-season premiere of TNT series “Rizzoli & Isles.” Unfortunately for TNT, O’Reilly’s cameo didn’t seem to help the show’s (still respectable) ratings. The program drew 4.78 million viewers, a solid number for a cable drama, but down more than 1.5 million viewers from the season premiere in July, and down almost 900,000 from the mid-season finale in September.
Update: It is worth noting that “Rizzoli” went head-to-head with NBC’s “Rock Center” in most markets, and topped the news program by around 400,000 total viewers. It is an apples to oranges comparison, but at least O’Reilly can say he beat Brian Williams for one night.
